Certification, Designation, and Accreditation

Gary Tang of HT Appraisal, Inc. always strives to advance his knowledge and skills to meet the challenges of
the future. The increasing complexity of the real estate market has expanded to a vast number of appraisal specialties. We are not pursuing all the specialized segments of the practices but we have concentrated in a few of the specialties.

Gary Tang has completed the required education, real estate experience, and testing requirements of the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) Institute, and earned the CCIM designation. The educational training and real estate practice of a CCIM are complementary to the appraising profession. This expanded background enabled our appraisal practice additional advantage in the valuation solutions.

The modern world is increasing in its demands and contributes to the depletion of natural resources. Experts have begun designing and building sustainable projects to alleviate negative impacts of our traditional buildings. These type of properties are different from the traditional architecture, engineering, and construction methods, and they have different financial and market impacts.

They are also relatively new to market participants and are especially foreign to most appraisers. Because of the need to address the competency and credible result issues, Gary Tang revisited his prior experience in architecture, planning, and engineering and studied for and passed the final examination given by the US Green Building Council. He is an accredited LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Professional (LEED AP).
